Book design concept for Joey Frank's forthcoming astrology meets family psychology meets pop culture exploration, Little Miss Sun Sign.
The book posits that astrological pairings situated across from eachother on the astrological wheel exemplify characteristics of a figure in a hypothetical six person family. For example, scorpio & taurus embody “the middle child.” Due to this structure, I envisioned seven distinct chapbooks (including an introduction).
Design is a pastiche of advertisements for seers, psychics, & fortune tellers, as well a nod to homespun family therapy practices in Brooklyn brownstones.
